In commercial transactions, we regularly advise and assist our clients with Industrial Site Recovery Act (ISRA) issues, including negotiating with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) to obtain negative declarations and No Further Action letters. We have also assisted clients undertaking site investigations and remediations in New York and Pennsylvania.

We also provide support for a wide array of commercial transactions, including the environmental implications of stock transfers, asset sales and purchases, mergers and acquisitions, and drafting environmental provisions in contracts and lease agreements. Our skilled lawyers have coordinated many Phase I and Phase II site investigations, and for our Bank clients, have assessed the potential for lender liability when property is obtained involuntarily through foreclosure.
