Icy driving in New Jersey leads to 2 deaths

Inclement weather can lead to crashes because sometimes drivers don't exercise proper caution. Actions that may be reasonable in good weather are not always reasonable when conditions are bad. Poor weather can be blamed for some crashes, but sometimes the driver is at fault for not changing his behavior to adapt to the weather. Car accidents can cause serious medical problems, including broken bones, long-lasting bruises and concussions.

Icy conditions have been growing over the past days in New York and New Jersey. Police have reported dozens of accidents. One multi-vehicle accident in Brick on the Beaver Dam Bridge caused multiple accidents and one death. Another person was killed when a NJ Transit bus hit her SUV. Local hospitals have experienced an influx of patients as the New Jersey State Police have responded to over 250 calls.

A person who is driving a vehicle has a responsibility to exercise reasonable care. In poor weather, they should adhere to proper signs and be responsive to other drivers. A poor driver exhibiting negligence may be speeding or changing lanes improperly in very icy conditions. One may be entitled to compensation when in an accident caused by a negligent driver, but one should be up-to-date on the latest New Jersey law.

Icy weather can be a problem for everyone. Exercising caution while on the roads is very important for everyone's safety. Those who do not use proper caution while driving in poor weather may be liable for damages to others. A car crash can cause significant property damage and health problems. It's important to seek medical support after a crash, and make certain one explores all legal options with regard to receiving proper compensation.
