New Jersey State Police investigate fatal car accident on I-295

On April 26 around 8:30 a.m., a collision occurred in East Greenwich in which two 22-year-old women were killed. The driver of one vehicle is one of the deceased; she was a resident of Pennsauken. Her front seat passenger, who was from Berlin, also died. Both women were thrown from the car, and police reported that they died at the scene.

Man killed in head-on collision in Morris County

Police have reported that a fatal car accident occurred in Morris County, New Jersey, on Saturday, April 18. The head-on collision happened in Washington Township and caused the death of a local New Jersey man.

Man seriously injured by hit-and-run driver

On April 16, a 43-year-old New Jersey woman was handed several criminal charges stemming from a hit-and-run accident that had taken place one week earlier. According to New Jersey State Police, the accused woman struck a man in Bloomfield and then left the scene of the accident. The 63-year-old man who was hit by the woman's vehicle was seriously injured.

New Jersey car accidents and spinal cord injuries

The World Health Organization estimates that between 250,000 and 500,000 people suffer spinal cord injuries worldwide each year. Of these injuries, an estimated 90 percent occur as a result of car accidents, violence and falls. New Jersey drivers are just as prone to spinal cord injuries as anyone else, with devastating financial, mental, emotional and physical consequences. Among other potential problems, the organization notes that people with these types of injuries are at a greatly increased risk of premature death from a number of complications.

Accident on expressway kills 2, injures 1

The New Jersey State Police reported a fatal two-vehicle accident took place in Hamilton Township on March 20. The crash occurred at around 1:29 p.m. on the Atlantic City Expressway when a 35-year-old man lost control of his vehicle. Two people died in the collision that happened at mile-marker 20.4 on the westbound side of the expressway.

Vehicle drives into New Jersey eatery

A vehicle driven by a 71-year-old woman crashed through the storefront of the Cluck-U-Chicken eatery in Red Bank just before noon on March 3. The vehicle struck and injured a patron standing inside the restaurant as well as an employee. The car accident also caused major physical damage to the business, destroying computer equipment and refrigerators, forcing store to close.
